Jon Sinclair

Jon Sinclair, having the experience as a tournament player himself, and now teaching the mental game as well as the physical swing; has an intimate understanding of the inter-connectivity of mind and body as it relates to golf. Always looking for new answers and keeping up with the latest technology to help his clients, Jon is a student of the game of golf as well as a teacher.

Jon teaches a wide variety of players from amateur to professional, junior to senior, and will customize his approach to his client's needs. If you have a swing instructor and only need help on the mental side of the game, Jon will work with you (and your instructor) to help you improve that aspect of your game.

Sinclair Golf Training Center at Texas Star Golf CourseHe is a Certified Level 2 TPI Fitness and Level 2 TPI Golf Biomechanists Instructor. He is a certified club fitter with the major club manufacturers, and certified on the SAM PuttLab and SAM BalanceLab. Jon is one of three Master GolfPsych Instructors in the world, trained by Dr. Deborah Graham and Jon Stabler of GolfPsych.

His teaching philosophy is that everyone is unique. A person does not have to have a picture perfect swing as long as it is efficient and the movements made will not cause injury. He will adapt and customize the teaching to the student, not make the student conform to a rigid teaching method.

Jon is available at the Center Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays through Sundays by appointment only.  Please contact him at Jon@Sinclairgolf.com.

Kevin Durkin, is a proud native of the Southeast, born and raised in Florida.  He spent his college years in Georgia at Valdosta State University, where he was a two-time All American and inducted into the Golf Hall of Fame in 2006.  But more recently, he has spent the past few years in Charlotte, NC with his lovely wife Missy and young son Davis.

Kevin held Exempt and Conditional status on the Nationwide Tour from 2002-2006.  He has played in several PGA Tour events missing only one cut.  He was in a tie for eighth going into the weekend at the 2004 Byron Nelson Championship and stood ready all week as first alternate for the US Open at Olympia Fields.  He has been fortunate to travel the world honing his craft and competing in a sport he truly loves.

"Tournament golf tests who you are to the core.  The beauty of the game shows itself in an infinite amout of ways.  The best one is always the shot that comes off just like you visioned it."

Kevin comes to Sinclair's Golf Training Center armed with the knowledge and enthusiasm to help all players, both men and women from beginners to professionals, get the best out of their ability.  And even sometimes, tap into a reservoir of talent they never knew existed.

To contact Kevin before he comes to the Center in September 2010 please e-mail him at Kevin@Sinclairgolf.com.

Jason McCray,  is a 36-year old Wichita Falls, Texas native. He developed a love for the game of golf at the age of 12 and began working at his first golf job in 1988 where his only compensation was golf playing privileges. He played on his high school golf team where he was captain for 3 years out of his 4 years. He turned professional 1 year out of high school and began teaching youth golf clinics in the summer of 1993. He continued working as a Wichita Falls area golf professional for 7 years at 3 area golf courses, while developing a passion for teaching. By 1999, Jason’s clientele base was over 100 students. That year, not only did he obtain PGA credentials in July, he also conducted 697 individual lessons.

In July of 2000, he was hired by Robert Singletary, Head Golf Professional at Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Texas.
